6. The Dunes at Maui Lani

8. Royal Ka’anapali
A Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course. The Royal Ka’anapali Course is host to many tour tournaments both on the LPGA and Champions Tour and is held in high regard by some of the top tour professionals. Stretching 7,700 yards, the par 71 course is both challenging and rewarding. The layout of the course is breathtaking, starting out at sea level winding along the coastline and eventually weaving through the west Maui mountain foothills. If the sparkling view of Ka'anapali Beach and mountain views aren’t enough of a distraction the long par 5’s and challenging 18th hole will be. Group and private lessons are available.

9. Ka’anapali Kai
Recently redesigned by course architect Robin Nelson, The Ka’anapali Kai Course is 6,388 yards with a par of 70. With four tee box options for every hole the challenges are abundant and the views of neighboring islands, Ka'anapali Beach and nearby mountains are amazing. Strung along the Pacific shoreline the fairways can get thin and the greens can seem to shrink upon approach, as deep bunkers surround many of them. 10. Plantation Course
Rated Hawaii’s number one golf course by Golf Digest, The Plantation Course is home to PGA tour events every year. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, this par 73, 7,411 yard course truly is built on a plantation. Laid out upon pineapple fields and sitting well above sea level the views from every hole are incredible both out to Makuleia Bay and throughout the courses natural, tropical terrain. The layout is a fairly open one but don’t let that fool you. There are some very tough challenges such as playing across canyon’s to approaching greens, uneven slopes and some long par fours like the 17th hole.
