Schools on Maui
Maui is a stunning place to live, and it has a wide variety of public schools to choose from. You'll have plenty of options for your children, whether they're in elementary, middle, or high school. Below, you'll find a long list of these schools to help you make an informed decision when it's time to pick the right school for your child on Maui.
There are well over 20 public elementary schools that you can choose from. Elementary school is a time where a child can have fun and learn the fundamentals to education. Elementary schools often focus around important concepts like math, science and English. These are the most important subjects for a child's education and they are essential to their progression in the public school system. This is why elementary schools focus on these subjects. Elementary schools also have a unique teaching style. Most of the time, the children will be in a room with about 25 to 30 other children and they will only have one teacher throughout the day. In most middle schools and high schools, there are several teachers, usually as many as six. Elementary schools do not do this, they only expose the child to one teacher so that things can stay consistent and it does not overwhelm the child while they are learning.
