You can live on Maui for years and still feel a little curiosity about the canoes moving across the water at sunrise. Some mornings it looks like a tightly synchronized crew training with serious purpose. Other mornings it looks more relaxed, with people learning the stroke, laughing at the beach, and getting comfortable in the water. Both are part of the same world. Both belong on Maui.
